The Special K Diet is a clever marketing ploy by the folks at Kellogs. Considering that Special K isn't actually that great for you, they have done a great job of convincing people that a diet based upon it can be a great idea. I'll throw in an analogy: When building a house, shag carpeting isn't a particularly great product to use, sure you house might need carpet, but shag carpet? Anyway, what if I hired a designer to create entire rooms covered in shag carpet, not just the floor, but the walls and ceilings too. That would be pretty silly.
So, what would you do if a cereal company told you to eat one of their low-fiber, non-whole grain cereals not just for breakfast, but for dinner as well? You'd probably laugh, right? Right? No, seriously, you would laugh.
But, that is what the Special K diet plan includes:
Special K and milk for breakgast.
an apple for a snack.
Special K for lunch!
For an afternoon snack, why not make a sink out of shag carpet, I mean, have a special K bar.
Eat a reasonable dinner: Grilled salmon, boiled new potatoes, broccoli.
For Dessert: Have a banana.
After 7 days, get the Special K logo tattooed to your bum...
